The Very Reverend Archpriest George M Rados fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2017 while at his home. He was born in Canton, Ohio on March 9, 1935 and was the second of two sons of Michael and Olive Rados. He grew up in a household which was very involved with the local Orthodox church which later led to his decision as a young man, to pursue the priesthood.
Shortly after graduating from St.
Vladimir’s Seminary in New York, he married Jacqueline Tomey on November 27, 1960. Soon afterward, he was ordained to the Deaconate on January 1, 1961, and then to the priesthood by Archbishop Antony Bashir on February 5, 1961, where he was immediately assigned to the parish of St.
