The story of Oksana Malaya

In the Odessa boarding home for children with developmental disabilities, they still remember the strange creature that was brought to the medical office in August 1992.

It was a girl who resembled a dog, crawling on all fours and growling when someone approached. Oksana, as she was called, had been raised by dogs and had acquired their behaviors.

However, after years of hard work by the caregivers, she had started to resemble the other children in the home.

Oksana, now a young woman, no longer exhibits any dog-like behaviors.

She has learned to speak and communicate with others. Although she still has a strong attachment to animals, her life has cha
